The London Safeguarding Children Procedures are normally updated on a 6-monthly basis. ![]() The Editorial Board is pleased to welcome two new co-chairs and a new coordinator – details below – and to extend its thanks to Henrietta Quartano (previous chair) and Alison Renouf (previous Partnership Manager) for their contributions to the maintenance of the procedures. Other changes include clarifying the responsibility for undertaking S47 Enquiries and attendance at strategy discussions as well as the arrangements for sharing reports at child protection conferences. The Editorial Board is also intending to develop a protocol with areas surrounding London to ensure that he same principles can be applied when children move out of London. The arrangements for the transfer of case responsibility for children in need have been strengthened and clarification provided in relation to children in specific circumstances.
